Cet assistant vous est proposé dès votre premier lancement de BeerSmith2 après son installation, mais vous pouvez également le relancer plus tard en sélectionnant l'option '''Assistant d'Importation''' du menu '''Fichier.'''<br />

L'Assistant d'Importation tente de retrouver votre ancienne installation de BeerSmith 1.x puis vous affiche les dossiers trouvés les plus récents (s'il en trouve) depuis lesquels vous pourrez importer vos anciens fichiers. Si aucun dossier n'est trouvé, vous pourrez alors choisir vous même le dossier depuis lequel importer les anciennes données.<br />

BeerSmith recherche par défaut le dossier d'installation de BeerSmith (version 1.x) contenant vos fichiers Recipe.bsm.<br />

Une fois sélectionné le dossier à importer, BeerSmith 2 importera toutes vos recettes existantes, sauf le dossier des exemples, ainsi que vos [[Beersmith2-Aide/Profils_de_Matériel|Profils de Matériel]]. <br />

Il tentera également d'importer le [[Beersmith2-Aide/Gestion de Stock|Stock]] correspondant, mais si des éléments de stock trouvés ne correspondent pas à ceux déjà présents dans les ingrédients de BeerSmith2, le programme vous montrera combien d'éléments discordants ont été trouvés.<br />
